Attention all Kids 12 and younger! The baseball season is almost here and that means it's time to team up with your favorite mascot WOOLIE and join the Kids Club! As a member you will receive an official Kids Club membership ID, Kids Club T-shirt, monthly newsletters, 10% off all merchandise and ADMISSION TO ALL GAMES (except FYF Mondays) FOR JUST $1.00 per game!

Just have a parent print the form below and mail it in or drop it off at the Hagerstown Suns office.

The Hagerstown Suns, class ‘A’ Minor League Affiliate of the Washington Nationals, invite all local children to participate in the Suns 2008 Youth Baseball Camp at Municipal Stadium. All participants will learn “from the pros” as ALL instruction is provided by the Hagerstown Suns players and coaching staff!

Children receive individual attention devoted to developing the baseball skills of each participant. All participating children should bring his/her own bat, glove, and cap and should arrive at camp each day in workout clothes, ready to play. Each participant should be in good health.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch the camp on any of the days from the stands while children participate on the field.

The cost of camp is $90 per child. This includes instruction, a camp t-shirt, lunch everyday at noon after camp, and a ticket to each of the Suns’ games on July 8, 9, and 10. Roster spots are limited, so please register soon!

Since the end of the 2007 season the Suns mascot Woolie has been hard at work visiting members of the community. Woolie has made several appearances at birthday parties and different company events throughout the Tri-State area.

Woolie is also an important part of the Hagerstown Suns efforts to inform youths of the dangers of smoking. The Suns and Woolie have partnered with the Washington County Health Department to get this important message out to as many children as possible in Washington County.

This January of this year Woolie made a trip to China, in order to learn the secret to the perfect “T-shirt Toss”. Upon his return the Suns staff was amazed by Woolie’s new found ability. Make sure you come out to Municipal Stadium in 2008 to see how much Woolie has improved.

Woolie-Grams are printed off of the Hagerstown Suns website by children of all ages. They are then colored in and sent to friends and family all over the world, with a note explaining this promotion. Once the family or friend receives the Woolie-Gram they should take a photo of themselves with it and email it to joelpagliaro@hagerstownsuns.com. In the email they should include who they are, where they live and who sent them the Woolie-Gram.

The Suns will post every picture of a Woolie-Gram that is emailed to them in the photo gallery on their website. Children can then keep an eye on the Suns website to see if their Woolie-Gram was received.

The purpose of Woolie-Grams is to introduce kids on how to send mail, improve their coloring skills and most importantly HAVE FUN!

Please send $12.00 per child and an additional $5.00 if you wish to have the Suns mail you the membership packet. The Hagerstown Suns will inform you when you can pick up membership T-shirts and ID cards at the Suns offices at Municipal Stadium.
